Transitions in Time has a different philosophy behind wedding photography. Our company is founded on the principle that great photography and your special moments need to be seen and felt with your hands, eyes, and heart.
We believe in printing those moments to be adored and remembered on the walls of your home; using our award-winning in-house archival printing process and passed down to future generations.

The only way we have found to accomplish these ideals is to get to know you and the type of photography you value before your wedding in our initial in-studio consult. Here we will look at imagery you enjoy and talk about the details of your wedding day. That way, there are no surprises and stress from the photographer on your big day.

In-Person Consultation
Your wedding will have its own individual timeline. Too often, this part is overlooked, and as a result, your special day starts to fill with stress as you rush from one spot to another. We work with you to make sure every photo you want is there and do it in a timeframe that feels both relaxed and natural.
Before your wedding, we spend the time to get to know who you are. We love to hear not only about your wedding vision but also your story. We believe that each wedding photo, album, or wall-art should represent the family it is being created for.
We don't just do a copy-paste formula; we take the time to know what you care about. Your preferences shape the albums we provide.
Albums
Your amazing wedding photos shouldn’t be stuck on a computer drive. Show off your special day with an heirloom album, custom made for you.
Our albums are designed with a photojournalistic style; this means that we are not only focused on the mood of each image but the overarching story of your wedding. During this editing phase, we keep a priority on family, details, and fun. Once we have it designed, we consult with you and see if you have any changes.
After the designing phase, we start the creation process. While we don’t physically create the albums in-house as we do for prints, we work with a manufacturing company we feel is the best. We found our album manufacturer by searching through multiple wedding trade shows to determine the quality of each album manufacturer. We picked the one that hands-down was the best, both in binding, quality of materials, and the quality of the prints within.
Engagement Shoot

Engagement shoots are just as crucial for the photographers as it is for the newly engaged couple. This is the time that couples finalize their wedding photographers and see their top pick in person. Couples do this because it gives them a chance to match their visions with the photographer’s style.
You get the much-needed hands-on experience working with the photographers to build trust for your wedding day.
On the wedding day itself, you’re too busy enjoying your newly formed partnership to spend the time to make sure your photographer understands your personal preferences. The engagement shoot allows you more time to communicate with the photographer about what they are thinking and, more importantly, how you are feeling about each shot. After the engagement shoot, you can see all your photos, feel comfortable, and as a result, feel the weight of finding a wedding photographer being taken off your shoulders.

The Photographer's Eye
The difference between award-winning shots and ones most people take on their camera phones is the trained “eye.” We know the difference between a boring shot and one that makes you well up. It’s not only there at the right moment, but also having the right composition that tells the story perfectly.
Composition is critical depending on what you wanted whether that is an album or wall art. You have to shoot with a purpose. The picture composition for a wall art piece may not work for a wide spread of an album. We make sure we capture both so we can use images in a variety of formats.
Our photographers know beforehand which shots are needed and when is the best time to get them. All the stress is off your shoulders and onto ours. What we look for is how each pose, natural or assisted, compliments you.
We watch for clothing positions, puckered lips, unflattering angles, and other awkward expressions. It doesn’t matter if you’re a model or camera shy. We give as much direction as you desire to create fun, comfortable, and beautiful pictures. Our goal is to find the moments when you forget we are there and get lost in the eyes of your spouse. Those are the memories you want, and those are the authentic moments we capture.
Printing Memories
Why it is important
We believe that photography shouldn’t just be on the computer but also experienced and held every day. While we do provide digital images, we don’t just stop there; we create memories through wall art. We can make wall-art both big and small at reasonable prices.
Imagine waking up every day and looking at your bedroom wall and seeing a perfect image of you and your spouse sharing a candid moment. Or walking down the hall and seeing pictures of your blended family enjoying the wedding together, even having friends over and seeing a beautiful image of the two of you in your living room. It is sure to get comments, and you will enjoy it every day.
Other photographers may know how to take a picture, but that’s where their knowledge stops. You can send it to Wal-Mart or an online lab to get it printed, but how are you assured the picture will come back as beautiful as it could be? We have not had good luck with lab-printed images. Yes, they can be cheap, but you get what you pay for most of the time.
On the other hand, Transitions in Time does our printing in-house on our color-calibrated large format printers. We also mount the print to the backing board to be displayed or taken to a frame shop for framing. Our in-house canvases are also an excellent option.
We have many choices of archival paper to match the image itself. We also use only archival ink in our printers. This is important as wall art should last for generations and hold its color and shape.

Day of the Wedding
On your wedding day, you will be 100% focused on your spouse and your guests. If you are worried about the camera at all, we are not doing our job right.
We pride ourselves on being at all your locations, using one photographer or two. You focus on being where you need to be, whether getting ready or enjoying laughs with your family, and we focus on capturing every moment. We are experienced enough to know when to move to the next location and when to stay for more shoots.
Too often, a couple starts to worry if both the bride and groom got enough photos or if their best friends’ speech was captured when everyone was laughing. We know this stress and have lived through it; we know that this is a memory that you will want to look back on more than anything else. We take enough photos of each event so that everyone you care about will show up on your wedding album for you to look back on for the years to come.
After Your Wedding
After your wedding is when the magic starts to happen; while you and your new spouse are enjoying your honeymoon, we are hard at work going through each image and finding the ones that match not only your dreams but also your story.
After we are done editing your pictures, we will arrange to meet at our downtown Corvallis studio to reveal them to you on our large 75” flat screen. We pour a glass of wine and turn the lights down, and let you relive your wedding day with a slideshow set to music.
Then we will walk you through the process of choosing images for potential wall-art or albums. We give you ideas for wall-art collections and which images might go best with them. You also can touch and feel all of our in-house album samples and choose cover materials, colors, page types, and the general design of the album. We are the only ones in the area that offer this ability.
We will do an initial digital proof for Albums and prints so you can see exactly what we designed. You can make changes at this point, and only after you approve them do they go to print. Albums and prints are usually available about 2-4 weeks after this point.
Once your wall art and albums are done being processed, we can either meet at the studio again or hand-deliver and install the prints at your location.

Wedding Videography
Photos are perfect for capturing how someone felt during a single moment, but the video adds emotion like no print ever could.
Video is the perfect complement to wedding photography. Couples often say how much they wish they added a wedding video to their package. This is because as time goes on, you start to realize how vital video is. Seeing a cinematic-style wedding video that is professionally edited is sure to bring those emotions you felt right back to the surface.
Unlike other videographers, we don’t just have a compilation of wedding day events. We use both the cinematic visuals from your wedding as well as music and recordings from you. When combined, the video shows the emotions you felt during your vows, heart-touching moments from your friends and family’s speeches, and hear that moment when you finally get to say, “I do.”
